Production Specialist
Production SpecialistThis position is responsible for the production of windshield washer fluid and other related products manufactured at the plant. This position is also responsible for the safe, efficient and quality of the products.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure productivity of machines and operations in all areasEnsure finished goods produced are being made with correctly specified materials and within quality parametersCreate and manage production schedule and the necessary equipment to ensure that customer ship dates are achievedManage production orders within software application accurately & timely to ensure inventory integrityPrepare and manage reports related to production scheduling, raw materials needs and inventory levelsWork with Plant Manager to ensure proper staffing levels are maintainedWork closely with Maintenance Dept to ensure production equipment is operational and downtime is minimizedEnsure health, safety and compliance standards are followedProvide motivation, support and guidance to production employeesCommunicate problems or obstacles to Plant ManagerWorks closely with purchasing, shipping and sales order team membersComply with and enforce all company policies & proceduresOther duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Ability to operate production applications in production and order management softwareProficient use of office management software (eg Excel)Ability to lead and manage others.Ability to work with all other areas of the company.Effective verbal communication skills.Mechanical aptitudeAbility to ensure employees complete written documentation of products made and quality measurements.Ability to problem solve and escalate issues when needed.Ability to understand and process technical readings and related calculationsAbility to work maintain & enforce safety expectations.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with machinery. Physical essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: standing or sitting for long periods of time, bending, reaching, and moving around machinery. Lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to consistently work in extreme temperatures.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:3+ previous production experience.1-2 years of previous production supervision experience is preferred.We are an EEOC/AA Employer.
