Manager of Operations Accounting
Description We are looking for an experienced accounting leader to oversee operational accounting activities in Southlake, Texas. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, guiding the close process, and supporting cross-functional coordination across key accounting workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:- Lead monthly closing activities by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger accuracy to ensure timely financial reporting.- Oversee general ledger operations and maintain the integrity of accounting data across operational finance processes.- Manage account reconciliation efforts and resolve discrepancies through thorough analysis and follow-up with relevant stakeholders.- Support financial statement audit preparation by organizing documentation, responding to audit requests, and reinforcing compliance with accounting standards.- Coordinate intercompany accounting activities, including transaction review and balance reconciliation across entities.- Supervise day-to-day operational accounting work, providing direction, prioritization, and quality oversight for the team.- Partner with banking and business contacts to monitor account activity and support treasury-related accounting needs.- Contribute to process improvements within accounting operations, including support for system-related workflow changes when needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.- At least five years of progressive accounting experience, including prior responsibility in a management or team leadership capacity.- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and reconciliation work.- Strong background in month-end close, general ledger management, journal entry review, and account reconciliations.- Experience supporting financial statement audits and preparing audit-ready documentation.- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.- Familiarity with NetSuite, intercompany accounting, and business banking platforms is preferred.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
