Job Title: Patient Access Representative I Location: Morristown, NJ (Morristown Medical Center - Patient Access) Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour Available Shifts: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Occasional Saturday) 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Every Other Weekend) 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Position Overview: Atlantic Health System is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to join our team in Morristown. This role focuses on precertification and outpatient visit authorization, requiring strong communication and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital authorization verification, working knowledge of payer portals, and the ability to research and interpret patient insurance benefits accurately. Responsibilities: Verify and secure authorizations for hospital outpatient visits Utilize payer portals to complete benefit verification and documentation Communicate effectively with physician offices and hospital sites Provide excellent customer service to support internal and external inquiries Accurately maintain patient records and insurance information Work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital authorization verification High School Diploma or GED required Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
