Assembly Machinist Technician II (Mechanical)
Role, Function & Organization The Assembly Machinist Technician II (Mechanical) plays a key role in supporting the production and fabrication of electrical devices, systems, and components. This position is responsible for interpreting design drawings and assembly instructions, selecting appropriate materials, and using various tools and equipment to assemble projects to specification. In addition, the Assembler is involved in material handling, inventory organization, and packaging of finished products. As such the following values guide our behaviors: A Servant's Heart -- Focus on the Needs of Others, Wisdom -- Insightful, Integrity -- Honesty and Trustworthy, Courage -- Decisive and Confident in Others, Humility -- Modest and Respectful, Passion -- Unfailing Dedication Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Fabrication:Assemble electrical devices, systems, and components according to provided instructions, drawings, or printsMeasure, cut, bend, label, and paint components per design requirements using appropriate toolsFit and assemble mechanical or electrical components according to specificationsPerform fabrication tasks using toolsIdentify and resolve issues that affect proper operationMaterial Handling & OrganizationHandle incoming and outgoing materials (includes loading/unloading, organizing inventory, and packing finished products)Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work areaMaintain proper documentation and communicate issues or updates with supervisorsSafety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination: Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task. Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention. Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents. Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed. Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel. Qualifications And RequirementsHigh school diploma (or equivalent) required1+ year relevant experiencePossess basic math skillsAbility to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematicsExperience, Skill And Abilities Positive safety attitude and personal integrity -- both are non-negotiableProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenPhysical Requirements Frequent time spent in warehouse and shop, exposing employee to noise and moving machineryLift at least 50 pounds Constant moving on your feet Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
