Travel Medical Assistant (MA) - $18 to $23 per hour in Palmetto, FL

Medical Assistant Location: Palmetto, FL Agency: Pride Health Pay: $18 to $23 per hour Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Palmetto , FL ( 34221 ). This is a 3 month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Specific Duties: Performs all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice. Operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), remove staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary, performs EKGs. Performs quality control checks on equipment. Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patients for examination and records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and promptly. Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies Qualifications: High school graduate or GED equivalent Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 90 days of employment. Medical Assistants who are hired before receiving their certification are expected to perform at the same level as a “certified” Medical Assistant Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills Knowledge of medical terminology required Must have qualifications/experience: High school graduate or GED equivalent BLS for healthcare providers Additional Information: Location: 1120 10th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221 Job Type: 3 months contract to hire Schedule: Monday through Friday Shift start & end times: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Workdays per week: 5 days Pay Range: $18-23/hrs. on W2 without benefits *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
