Job Title WordPress DeveloperLocation RemoteTime Zone US Time Zones (EST–CST overlap required)Role Overview We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to manage and maintain a large portfolio of client websites on a day-to-day basis. This is a full-time role requiring hands-on development experience—not just page builder familiarity. You will own a ticket-based workflow, implement changes with precision, and uphold a high standard of quality across every site you touch.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a high-volume ticketed inbox of website requests including content updates, layout changes, landing pages, and minor feature additionsImplement WordPress changes including theme and template adjustments, custom CSS/HTML edits, and basic-to-intermediate PHP and JavaScript modificationsPerform thorough quality control on every change: test across devices and browsers, verify links, forms, menus, and interactive elementsDraft clear, professional client-facing summaries of completed work for internal review prior to deliveryCollaborate with internal developers and account managers to clarify requirements and resolve edge casesProactively flag technical risks, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve or standardize templates and processesMaintain clean, secure, and well-organized code and site structure across the portfolioRequired QualificationsProfessional WordPress development experience with strong knowledge of themes, child themes, plugins, and custom post typesProficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and basic-to-intermediate PHP and JavaScriptExperience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Gutenberg) plus the ability to go beyond them when neededDemonstrated experience managing multiple client sites or a portfolio of WordPress propertiesStrong attention to detail with a consistent habit of self-QA before handoffClear, professional written and spoken EnglishMust have prior remote work experience, be fluent with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and have ideally worked with US or UK-based companies.
