Field Service TechnicianPosition Summary:The Field Service Technician performs and oversees the installation or replacement of equipment and controls.Employment Type: Full Time - HourlyKey Responsibilities:Strong interpretation of electrical and fluid schematicsTroubleshooting of fluid and electrical servo-activated systemsGeometrical level and alignment of CNC machinesTroubleshooting and repair of mechanical components such as spindle units, gearboxes, and other mechanical machine componentsMechanical troubleshooting of closed and open loop axes controlCNC geometry and positioning axis compensationTrain hands-on Junior Service EngineersAdvises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvementAbility to align and use positioning, straightness, and geometry measuring lasers5-axis Traori setupAutomatic tool changer and tool management troubleshooting and setupAcceptance test with customersMaintenance training for customers Qualifications:Able to meet customer needs in difficult and demanding situationsComfortable with international travel to remote locationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with personal computers, various software applications, read engineering blueprints, and use hand tools4+ years' experience in the Machine Tool FieldGood understanding of electrical and mechanical principlesHours as required to meet the needs of your projectsSome domestic and international travel will be required Preferred Skills: Location & Compensation:Rockford, ILPay: $24-43p/hrBenefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) match.Travel up to 85%, visiting clients and providing servicesJoin the team to work on groundbreaking projects known for its innovation.
