Travel Superintendent - Data Center Construction

Travel Superintendent Data Center Construction Our client is a well-respected national general contractor recognized for delivering large-scale, mission-critical, and high-technology projects across the U.S. They are known for strong field support, excellent safety culture, and the ability to execute complex, MEP-intensive projects with precision. Their teams specialize in delivering data centers with strict commissioning requirements, redundancy systems, and high-security infrastructure - making them a trusted partner in the mission-critical sector. Job Description Lead all onsite construction activities for a ground-up data center project, from initial mobilization through commissioning and turnover. Coordinate daily work with MEP trades, mission-critical subcontractors, equipment vendors, and commissioning agents. Oversee installation of electrical gear, generators, UPS systems, chilled water systems, and other critical infrastructure. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, QA/QC processes, and data-center-specific standards. Conduct daily meetings, update logs, track progress, and proactively resolve field issues. Review drawings, technical details, shop drawings, and BIM coordination to ensure accurate installation. Manage schedule sequencing, especially around critical path activities and equipment startup. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, owners, and engineering partners to maintain transparency and alignment. The Successful Applicant Extensive superintendent experience in data center, mission-critical, high-tech industrial, or similarly complex project environments. Strong understanding of MEP systems, including electrical distribution, generators, UPS, cooling systems, containment, and commissioning processes. Experience managing large subcontractor teams across multiple scopes on fast-paced, high-stress projects. Ability to maintain strict compliance with safety, quality, and documentation requirements. Exceptional communication skills for working with owners, commissioning teams, engineers, and vendors. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Willingness and ability to travel full-time to Jackson, MS and future mission-critical project locations. Experience navigating high-security jobsite processes and procedures (preferred).
