Administrative - Central Office - Associate Director - ESC Job Number 0000763637Start DateOpen Date 12/15/2025Closing DateAttachmentsJob DescriptionDirect and manage the assigned curricular and content areas and perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Executive Director within the framework of the philosophy and objectives established by Board policy, consistent with statutes and standards of regulatory agencies and in accordance with administrative regulations and procedures.Education Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in education or a related fieldValid Texas supervisory certificate or other appropriate certificate/licenseExperience:Five years in public schools, university, or other appropriate ESC experienceThree years principal/administrative experience; Superintendent experience preferredMinimum of three years Central office experience requiredSpecial Knowledge and Skills:Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage and coordinate diverse program functionsIn-depth knowledge and experience of center area assignedAbility to manage and coordinate multiple budgetsAbility to manage staff at multiple levels (support and specialists)Experience in various federal, state, and local programs, market products, and staff developmentMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnelCoach assigned staff in targeted areas of expertise to maximize productivityProvides leadership and direction in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services in an assigned areaSpecific Responsibilities and Duties:Provides for the administration and demonstrates responsible fiscal control over all assigned budgets and follows assigned budget procedure associated with grants, federal, and local budgetsEffectively manages and maintains facility needs to ensure the assigned department is conducive to effective personnel performanceMonitor budget expenditures on a regular basis for appropriateness and adherence to timelinesEnsure appropriate use of funds to accomplish program/services objectivesDevelop, monitor, and manage program budgetsProgram Management:Participates in required program meetings/trainings/events to meet program goalsPerforms other duties as assignedProvides administrative support for statewide groups in the Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative (TCMPC) including supervisory support of TEKS Resource System with specialists and districts.Coordinates delivery of program and administrative technical assistance, for program areas of responsibility, including but not limited to professional development for district staffCollaborate with other Associate Directors to plan and deliver required ESC and TEA meetings including coordinating TEA activities and meetings for program of responsibilityPlan and coordinate required regional program-specific meetingsProvides for appropriate time, resources, and materials to support staff in accomplishing Center goals including planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programsAssumes responsibility for correlation of Center goals and objectivesSalary: From 96366.00Salary: To 138692.00
