Remote QA Engineer
QA EngineerApex Systems, a national leader in IT Solutions, is searching for a QA Engineer. This is a long term contract opportunity with the chance to influence healthcare data quality and better patient care through data and analytics solutions. Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain data quality assurance framework to test ETL jobs, Informatics reports and Dashboards and other data pipelines
Write SQL scripts to validate data in the data warehouse against the data in the source systems. Also validate data surfacing in Informatics assets against the data sources
Coach Informatics and Data teams on data quality best practices and standards
Experience with modern data warehousing concepts
Ability to independently write SQL scripts and other database structures to support data validation
Familiarity with basic Python scripting and cloud EDW environments
Builds intelligent test automation frameworks that certifies releases faster with increased test coverage
Builds and automates the appropriate level of test cases to determine if product is ready for production
Conducts research to identify tools, automation frameworks and methodologies; drives quality measures to be implemented
Influences change in the development process to ensure quality is built into the product responsibilities
Requirements:
4+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
Ability to write and run test scripts leveraging SQL
Understanding and navigation of datawarehouse environments, as well as exposure to Cloud solutions
Exposure to ETL, flat file loads, API level testing, Integration
Required Skills: Need someone with SQL shops, datawarehousing concepts, can help drive data testing strategy and drive implementations space. Tests in DW and BI space. Thought leadership on data quality. Help with testing at various levels. Part of PI's, sprints, worked with embedded QA folks and DW team. Leveraging Python frameworks as part of new developments. Supporting Data Marts.
