Restoration & Construction Technician (Mitigation/ Repair Technician)

MacFawn Fire & Flood Restoration is hiring a Restoration & Construction Technician to support both mitigation and repair services following water, fire, and property damage. This role combines emergency response, restoration cleanup, and light construction work. Ideal candidates have experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, carpentry, or general labor, or are eager to build a long-term career in the restoration industry.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to emergency and scheduled restoration jobsPerform water mitigation, including water extraction and structural dryingComplete fire and smoke damage cleanupAssist with biohazard remediation and temporary board-upsPerform demolition, job site preparation, and debris removalSupport repair and reconstruction work, including:Drywall installation and repairPainting, flooring, trim, and finish workFraming and basic structural repairsCabinet installation and finish carpentrySafely pack out and transport customer contentsLoad, unload, inspect, and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehiclesTow trailers to and from job sites as neededMaintain daily job notes and communicate project updatesFollow OSHA and company safety standardsKeep job sites clean, organized, and safeParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule, including nights and weekendsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent12 years of experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, carpentry, or general labor preferredAbility to read and follow scopes of workFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction materialsValid drivers license and clean driving record requiredAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the dayWillingness to work overtime, weekends, and emergency response shiftsIICRC certifications preferred (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.)additional pay availableBilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
