We offer great benefits and competitive pay.This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.The basic function of Maintenance Mechanic is to repair/adjust machinery, troubleshoot/repair hydraulic pneumatic systems to keep plant facilities in operation and minimize downtime, walk, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces and at heights up to 50 feet above floor surface in extremes of temperatures.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Troubleshoots pneumatic control systems and pneumatically activated systemsReplaces, rebuilds, repairs pneumatic lift cylindersReplaces airline hoses, hoses, fittings, gaugesTroubleshoots, repairs replaces and/or rebuilds hydraulic motors, filters, pumps, valves, hoses, and hydraulic lift cylindersTroubleshoots high pressure systems while unit is in operation or down for major repairsInstalls heater connections, hydraulic oil coolers, temperature and oil pressure sendersIdentifies basic problems in electrical control circuitry and repairs or refers to electricianResponsible for keeping work area cleanMay perform other various duties on a routine or non-routine basis at the discretion of his/her supervisor or other members of management.QUALIFICATIONS: Must have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical; ability to read elementary wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematicsAt least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or trade school equivalentHigh School diploma or equivalent; ability to use shop mathematics with trade knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic operations and repairSufficient communication skill to maintain good working relationshipsSufficient physical capabilities to meet the demands of an industrial mechanicWhat are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position?• - Must have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical; ability to read elementary wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics - At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or trade school equivalent - High School diploma or equivalent; ability to use shop mathematics with trade knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic operations and repair - Sufficient communication skill to maintain good working relationships - Sufficient physical capabilities to meet the demands of an industrial mechanic What are the nice-to-have skills?• - Troubleshoots pneumatic control systems and pneumatically activated systems - Replaces, rebuilds, repairs pneumatic lift cylinders - Replaces airline hoses, hoses, fittings, gauges - Troubleshoots, repairs replaces and/or rebuilds hydraulic motors, filters, pumps, valves, hoses, and hydraulic lift cylinders - Troubleshoots high pressure systems while unit is in operation or down for major repairs - Installs heater connections, hydraulic oil coolers, temperature and oil pressure senders - Identifies basic problems in electrical control circuitry and repairs or refers to electrician - Responsible for keeping work area clean - May perform other various duties on a routine or non-routine basis at the discretion of his/her supervisor or other members of management.
