Travel RN - Pediatrics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN specializing in Therapeutic Apheresis for a pediatric-focused Infusion Center role requiring 3+ years of Hematology, Oncology, and Transplantation nursing experience and an active IL RN license.Job Details• Position is based in a pediatric hospital Infusion Center specializing in Therapeutic Apheresis,• Serves patients ranging from infancy through adolescence, as well as young adults with acute or chronic medical conditions requiring Hematology, Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation, and Therapeutic Apheresis specialty care,• Procedures include autologous, allogeneic, donor collection, and therapeutic apheresis, as well as ECP, RCX, and PLEX procedures,• Equipment used includes the Spectra Optia and Therakos CellEX machines,• EMR: Epic,• Schedule is 10-hour day shifts (0730-1700), 36 hours per week, working 4-5 days Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule,• No holiday coverage required,• Call is required approximately 1 week every 3rd week; call shifts are taken independently,Job Requirements• Active, permanent IL RN license required (no endorsement, temporary, or pending license accepted),• Current certifications required: PALS and AHA BLS/CPR,• Minimum 3 years of Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation nursing experience required,• Pediatric nursing experience preferred but not required,• Prior travel nursing experience required,• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from within the past year,• COVID and Flu vaccinations required,• Completion of the Illinois Cannabis Use Disclosure and Acknowledgment Form required,Additional Information• Performs all Therapeutic Apheresis procedures under the direction of the attending physician,• Works alongside 1-2 other apheresis nurses during day shifts; call shifts are handled independently,• Travelers are not required to obtain APHON or SCT certifications through the facility,• Local candidates are accepted for this position,• Return employees who were previously permanent staff must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible,• Return travelers must have been off assignment for at least 45 days to be eligible,• RTO is capped at 10 days; any approved RTO must be made up by extending the end of the contract,
