In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors, playing a key role in securing and delivering successful, high-profile projects nationwide.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and detailed estimates for commercial construction projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, and other large-scale facilities.Review construction drawings, specifications, and documents to calculate project costs.Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to gather critical estimating data.Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.Evaluate bids to ensure alignment with project requirements and cost efficiency.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.Support project teams in managing budgets, schedules, and change orders.Assist in preparing proposals, bid packages, and client presentations.Mentor junior estimators as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, ideally with an ENR-ranked general contractor.Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and cost control practices.LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications a plus.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
