Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Hazard, KY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,380 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/26/2026 About the PositionTravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Hazard, Kentucky, 41701!Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current experience in a similar specialty required License: Active KY or compact license required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred, experience in a stepdown or PCU environment, familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred Description: This position is for a 34-bed stepdown/PCU unit. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5. The nurse is required to float within their scope of practice. Every other weekend work is mandatory. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. All staff members are expected to adhere to a schedule of 36/48 for the two-week pay period. Ratios may fluctuate based on patient census and staff call-ins. Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be considered for this position. Travelers must have 2 years of experience in the specialty to be eligible for consideration. RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days and must be communicated up front. Candidates should be willing to work either a major or minor holiday. References are required from one charge nurse or higher and one supervisor, both within the last year.
