MEP Project Manager

MEP Project Manager Mortenson is seeking a MEP Project Manager to lead and direct MEP-dominant projects or MEP scopes on medium to large projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety, while mentoring the project team and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.Accepted Locations: Cedar Rapids, IA; Omaha, NE; Lincoln, NEResponsibilities include managing overall financial health of projects, developing and maintaining project financial and equipment projections, allocating project estimate into financial system, determining cost codes, approving invoices, managing budget, providing financials and billings to accounting for timely payment, creating monthly owner billings, overseeing budget and selecting trade partners and suppliers, handling billings and contract management, overseeing 3-D coordination process to resolve conflicts before installation, directing and managing commissioning process, including start-up plan, COT, schedule, and functional testing, leading project closeout activities, including operations and maintenance manuals, model turnover, and training, managing Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), providing job assignments, career development, and feedback, functioning as main contact with owner and on-site representative, resolving site concerns, building positive relationships.Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experience, current driver's license, ability to manage development to closeout responsibilities for complex projects, detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks, basic understanding of construction law and business practices, intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applications, positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skills, ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies, active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback, ability to travel up to 100%, knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans.MEP Project Manager I: Minimum six years of construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor. The base pay range for this role is $113,500 Min - $170,300 Max.MEP Project Manager II: Minimum seven years construction management experience, preferably experience with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor. The base pay range for this role is $132,100 Min - $198,200 Max.(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR 10%, Washington, D.C. 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
