The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of technical leadership, from evolving the existing architecture to building and mentoring the internal engineering team. This hands-on role demands a leader who can oversee the entire technical stack, ensuring rigorous system design and data modeling, and is comfortable with the core infrastructure in place, including validator operations and an initial smart contract framework.Key responsibilities for the Technical Lead / CTO include financial system architecture, full-stack platform engineering, smart contract and protocol design, and engineering team leadership. The ideal candidate will have approximately 8+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, with a minimum of 2-4 years in a technical leadership capacity. Experience in financial services, fintech, or other correctness-critical environments is essential, as is professional experience with functional programming languages and hands-on development using TypeScript-based backend frameworks or Rust. While exposure to smart contracts, distributed ledgers, or blockchain systems is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.
