Shifts are variable.As a student nurse extern, you will have the unique opportunity to support our nursing staff and float among our inpatient units.Responsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.In addition, performs basic nursing tasks to include patient care, reporting patient conditions, circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness.The nurse extern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.Conditions: May be required to work irregular schedules. Potential exposure to hazard materials/situations to include but not limited to, blood-borne pathogens, ionizing radiation, and communicable diseases.QualificationsJob Requirements:Must be in good academic standingHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentMust be enrolled in an Accredited Nursing Program with an anticipated completion from program within 24 months from date of hire.Medical Technology; Anatomy and PhysiologyCPR certificationBLS certificationPay Range Minimum: $18.31/Hr.Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
