Their clients are saving real hours every week, and the demand is far outpacing their current capacity to deliver.The broader business is a full-service IT and managed services shop that's been around for over a decade, so you've got the stability of a real company with the energy of an AI startup. They've scaled from 80 to 150 people in the last 18 months, with offices in Newton and downtown Boston and a client base that ranges from fast-growing biotechs in the Cambridge corridor to law firms, healthcare organizations, schools, and manufacturers.About the JobYou'll report directly to the Head of Sales and serve as the first hire on a BDR team that will grow to three by year-end. The expectation is that you become a team lead within roughly four months, helping train the next two BDRs as they come on. From there, the path leads into a closing and relationship management seat within about eighteen months as the team continues to scale. The role is phone-first, focused on outbound prospecting into SMB and mid-market accounts, with objection handling and consistent activity being the daily rhythm of the job.Must HaveAt least one year of B2B inside or outside sales experience with genuine outbound callingA track record of consistent activity and meaningful quota attainment in a phone-heavy roleThe self-direction to operate independently, since your manager is mostly remote and you'll be expected to learn on the fly rather than be shadowed dailyComfort with objection handling and the resilience to keep dialing through a tough dayWillingness to work hybrid out of Newton or Boston, two to three days a week on-siteGenuine interest in growing into a team lead and eventually a closing role over the next twelve to eighteen monthsNice to HavePrior experience selling managed IT services, Microsoft 365 or Azure consulting, general consulting services, SharePoint, Power Platform, or AI and agentic AI solutionsBackground in a tech-adjacent, phone-heavy vertical such as telecom, VoIP, commercial real estate, financial services, or recruitingTraining pedigree from a recognized sales development program such as Oracle, Dell, or NetSuiteA history of finishing well above 100% of quota in a previous BDR or inside sales seatFamiliarity with selling into biotech, life sciences, or other regulated industries
