We support the defense, energy, and science markets through responsive, cost-effective execution of critical security, facilities and infrastructure, nuclear defense and nonproliferation, and environmental projects.Job DescriptionPerform and document process engineering calculations in support of nuclear and chemical process systemsSupport process design development during conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phasesDevelopment and review of:Engineering calculationsProcess flow diagrams (PFDs)Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)Process equipment specifications and data sheetsApply applicable nuclear, chemical, and safety requirements to process designsInterface with mechanical, electrical, I&C, safety, and operations teams to ensure integrated design solutionsSupport design reviews, technical evaluations, and configuration control activitiesPrepare and maintain formal engineering documentation, calculations, and technical reports in accordance with quality and regulatory requirementsProvide technical support during procurement, construction, startup, or readiness activities as requiredMentor or provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers when appropriateJob RequirementsBS degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years' experienceWorked in process engineering roles within industrial, nuclear, or government facilities U.S. Citizenship requiredExperience performing and documenting process engineering calculationsFamiliarity with process equipment specification and system designExperience working within regulated environments and structured engineering proceduresKnowledge of AMSE B31.1 and B31.3 and ASME B&PV CodePreferred Qualifications:Prior nuclear, DOE, or high-hazard facility design experienceExperience with nuclear material or uranium processing systemsExperience serving in a project engineering or technical lead roleExperience working under a formal quality program (ISO 9001, NQA 1)Professional Engineer (PE) licenseis not requiredbut the ability to obtain is a plusMaster's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institutionSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused professionalDuration:Direct HireFederal Government Clearance:This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance.
