We support the defense, energy, and science markets through responsive, cost-effective execution of critical security, facilities and infrastructure, nuclear defense and nonproliferation, and environmental projects.Job DescriptionLead and independently execute process engineering design activities for nuclear and chemical process systemsPerform, review, and approve complex process engineering calculationsDevelopment and review of:Engineering calculationsProcess flow diagrams (PFDs)Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)Process equipment specifications and data sheetsTechnical reports and formal design documentationEnsure process designs comply with applicable DOE requirements, nuclear safety expectations, and quality proceduresSupport design reviews, readiness activities, and technical evaluationsInterface with mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines to ensure fully integrated solutionsServe as a technical lead or subject matter expert (SME) within multidisciplinary project teams and applies engineering judgment to resolve complex technical and regulatory issuesProvide technical direction and mentoring to junior engineers and designersSupport procurement, construction, startup, and operational readiness activities as requiredReview vendor submittals and technical documentationSupport troubleshooting, design changes, and configuration control processesJob RequirementsBS degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent experience, 10+ years' experienceWorked in process engineering roles within industrial, nuclear, or government facilities U.S. Citizenship requiredDemonstrated experience with developing, reviewing and approving formal process engineering calculationsStrong background in process system and equipment specificationExperience working within regulated environments and structured engineering proceduresKnowledge of AMSE B31.1 and B31.3 and ASME B&PV CodePreferred Qualifications:Prior nuclear, DOE, or high-hazard facility design experienceExperience with nuclear material or uranium processing systemsExperience working under a formal quality program (ISO 9001, NQA 1)Professional Engineer (PE) licenseis not requiredbut the ability to obtain is a plusMaster's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institutionSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused professionalDuration:Direct HireFederal Government Clearance:This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance.
