Job Description Labor & Employment Associate Attorney (Mid-to-Senior Level)Location: San Francisco, CaliforniaDirect Counsel is seeking a mid-to-senior level Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a global Am Law firm in its San Francisco office. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced employment litigator interested in handling sophisticated matters while continuing to develop toward a leadership role within a collaborative and growing practice.The position offers the opportunity to work on complex employment litigation matters for sophisticated clients while gaining significant responsibility, client interaction, and mentorship within a nationally recognized practice.ResponsibilitiesManage and litigate a variety of employment matters, including single-plaintiff employment disputes and wage and hour class actionsHandle litigation matters in state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other substantive filingsParticipate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparationServe as a key point of contact for clients on active matters and provide strategic guidance on case developmentsAssist with case strategy, project management, and litigation planningOversee and collaborate with junior associates, paralegals, and litigation support staffManage e-discovery processes, including document review and production strategyContribute to employment counseling matters and preventative advice for clients (preferred but not required)Qualifications5+ years of labor and employment litigation experienceExperience handling single-plaintiff employment cases and wage and hour class actionsDemonstrated experience litigating in federal courtDeposition and/or courtroom experience requiredFamiliarity with e-discovery processes and litigation technologyAbility to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously with minimal supervisionStrong analytical, research, writing, and communication skillsExcellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law schoolActive admission to the California BarCompensation & BenefitsThis position offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of approximately $295,000–$415,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
