We are also featured in Fortune as one of the Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance.PRIMARY PURPOSEEvaluate and process auto and transportation claims of various complexities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIESEffectively process auto property damage and lower-level injury claims; assess damages, issue payments, and ensure thorough documentation and accurate coding of all claim files according to policy guidelines.Develop and implement action plans to meet state-required deadlines while driving claims towards timely and appropriate resolutions.Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation; efficiently manage salvage processes.Maintain clear and effective communication regarding claim progress with insured individuals, clients, and agents/brokers as necessary.Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.Conduct thorough analysis of coverage, liability, and damages for all assigned claims.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIESPerform other duties as assigned to support the team's success.Contribute positively to the organization's quality programs.Travel may be required for the role.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & LicensingA bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred. You must secure and maintain any state adjusting licenses required for this role.ExperienceA minimum of three (3) years in personal or commercial property claims management experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including familiarity with basic construction. Experience with property estimating software is advantageous.Skills & KnowledgeUnderstanding of personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.Ability to assess and negotiate property damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses for both first and third-party claims.Knowledge of total loss processing along with state salvage forms and title requirements.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the capability to present information clearly.Proficient in PC applications, particularly Microsoft Office products.Strong analytical and interpretive skills.Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.Consistent ability to meet or exceed service expectations.WORK ENVIRONMENTConsideration will be provided for reasonable accommodations as applicable.Mental: Clear and conceptual thinking with excellent judgment, problem-solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to manage work-related stress; multitask effectively; and meet deadlines.Physical: Computer keyboarding; travel may be required.Auditory/Visual: Good hearing, vision, and communication abilities.NOTE: This position requires credit security clearance, confirmed through a background credit check.As legally required, Sedgwick provides a reasonable salary range for positions in jurisdictions with pay transparency laws. The starting salary range for this role is $50,000 to $55,000.
