This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of air freight logistics and regulations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily activities of the air and ocean import team, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of cargoCoordinate with carriers, vendors , customers airlines, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance and delivery of cargoEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsDevelop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service deliveryIdentify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfactionMonitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and qualityEducational background / Work experienceA bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is requiredAt least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is requiredPrior experience in air imports and supervisory experience is highly desirableSkills & CompetenciesExcellent leadership and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of logistics and supply chain management principlesAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentSupervisory Responsibilities (if any)This role typically involves supervising a team of air import coordinators and other support staffPreferred QualificationsExperience with leading air cargo logistics software and systemsFamiliarity with air freight regulations, customs requirements, and import controlsKnowledge of airline routes and schedulesLanguage skillsFluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is requiredAt Will EmploymentDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
