This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant or Financial Analyst ready to expand their scope and gain exposure across accounts payable, payroll, and core accounting functions.Why Join Smart Arches?Opportunity to expand your skill set across multiple finance functionsHigh visibility and direct exposure to leadershipBe part of a growing organization building scalable processes from the ground upClear path for career growth and advancementWhat You'll DoAccounts PayableManage full-cycle AP including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and paymentsMaintain vendor records and support new vendor onboardingEnsure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all paymentsPartner with departments on expense tracking and reportingPayroll & CompensationProcess and oversee bi-weekly payroll in partnership with HR and external providersManage and reconcile provider (doctor) compensationEnsure compliance with wage and hour regulationsSupport payroll audits and reportingAccounting & Month-End CloseSupport month-end close (journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis)Maintain accuracy of general ledger accountsAssist with financial reporting and internal analysisProcess Improvement & Finance OperationsIdentify and implement process improvements across AP and payrollSupport system enhancements and scalable workflowsAssist with ad hoc analysis and cross-functional finance projectsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3–6+ years of accounting or finance experienceHands-on experience with AP and/or payroll requiredStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with systems such as bill.com, Sage Intacct, ADP, NetSuite, or similarIntermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesPreferred:CPA (or pursuing)Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or FP&AExperience in healthcare or multi-location environmentsPhysical/Mental Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
