Remote Client Accounting Lead

This position is for US‑based individuals seeking full‑time work (30 + hours per week) and is available to balance other important parts of life with an exciting, fulfilling career. Day‑to‑day Responsibilities Oversee the full‑charge bookkeeping and finance processes (invoicing, bill‑pay, payroll processing, monthly close, sales tax, year‑end prep, etc.) for 10–20 clients. Work with the support team on all aspects of service delivery by scheduling and delegating tasks, reviewing work, and coaching and answering questions warmly and clearly. Act as primary client contact, answering questions with joy and advising on process improvements. Review the books of potential clients to identify errors, assist sales in accurate pricing of new engagements, and craft a plan to onboard new clients into our systems. Delegate and manage the necessary clean‑up and onboarding work when potential clients sign. Qualifications Multi‑client cloud accounting experience, with 3+ years of remotely managing multiple clients in multiple industries from end to end, including process implementation and improvement, onboarding and clean‑up, and financial reporting. Extensive experience running payroll, closing monthly books, and creating processes for cash and accrual‑basis clients, with 5+ years in QBO, BILL, Gusto, or other common cloud accounting software. Strong accrual knowledge and experience managing clients with full accrual accounting processes, maintaining detailed and audit‑ready schedules for non‑bank balance sheet accounts, and pulling data from external systems to complete the monthly close. Higher‑education degree in accounting or finance; CPA firm or public accounting experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills across digital channels, a desire to build relationships, keen attention to detail, and passion for improving others. Resourceful problem‑solver who knows when to ask for help, humility, openness to coaching and critiques, and a desire to empathetically teach and mentor junior staff. Joyful and positive attitude in all internal and external communications, persistence, and an ability to politely remind others to stay on track. Working Conditions & Expectations • 100% remote, work‑from‑home role with flexible daytime professional hours. • Availability required five days a week within standard professional hours; weekly hours may fluctuate slightly (+/- 3–5 hours) due to varying client demands. • Reliable home internet connection and a suitable environment for video and phone calls. • Positions operate on a W2 basis and time is tracked by client and type of work. Benefits & Compensation Base salary range of $70,000–$78,000. Quarterly bonus structure based on a percentage of client profit generated by your book of business, ranging from $2,000–$4,000 annually.
