Corporate Controller

Company Overview: Skinner Overlook/Tomasi Nurseries is a professional landscape company located in Weymouth and Pembroke, Massachusetts. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. This individual will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity and supporting strategic financial initiatives. Position Overview: The Corporate Controller will oversee the accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance functions. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to the owner. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll, and revenue recognition. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a management position. Service industry experience a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision insurance per the company plan (eligible after 30 days). .
