Mutli-site Asst Controller / Regional Asst Plant Controller

Our client is an established, publicly traded midsize manufacturer in the market and a portfolio of well-known brands. They're mid-transformation new leadership, a major ERP migration underway (moving to LN/Infor), and a lean accounting team that's actively building the infrastructure to support a much bigger future.This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-visibility role before the structure is fully set. You'll report directly to the Regional Plant Controller and own the day-to-day accounting function across multiple facilities.The team is close-knit and the bar to join it is high. Low ego, high output, someone who gets things done without being asked that's who belongs here.What You'll OwnMonth-end close — entries, reconciliations, reclasses. Team closes in 3 days;Cost and spend analysis track variances, communicate cause-and-effect to plant operations (contract costs, R&M, etc.)New product development approvals review plant accountant analysis, validate margin and cost assumptions before cross-functional sign-offMake/buy analysis partner with plant accountants, pressure-test before it goes to other departmentsPhysical inventory participation Q4, hands-on at key sitesLead and develop 3–4 direct reports (plant accountants assigned to specific facilities and projects)What We're Looking ForManufacturing background /plant finance experienceCost accounting literacy must be able to speak the language and guide a team;Month-end close ownership - start to finish, no hand-holdingPeople leadership - has managed or mentored direct reportsNashville - onsite - some travel primarily Q4Nice to HavesERP implementation experience (LN/Infor a plus)Standard costing environmentCapital project or fixed asset accounting experienceCPA
