Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients. Prepare operating rooms, ensure proper equipment setup, and maintain sterile fields. Assist surgeons and surgical teams intraoperatively, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and postoperative expectations. Monitor patients’ physiological responses during surgery and communicate changes promptly. Handle surgical specimens according to policy and regulatory standards. Document all aspects of care accurately in Epic EMR. Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes when called back. Support and mentor staff or travelers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
