Company DescriptionMaven Baseball is an Atlanta-based sports tech company that uses 3D motion capture and force plates to analyze and improve player performance. Baseball players undergo a 12-swing or 12-pitch assessment to generate personalized "Maven Scores" along with actionable, data-driven training plans and drill libraries accessible via the Maven app.Role DescriptionMaven Baseball seeks a highly-motivated Full-Stack Software Engineer with a broad range of programming skills. This position is responsible for developking and managing Maven's software solutions for multiple platforms, including mobile and web applications, dev ops, database management, backend infrastructure and biomechanical software tools.Job Duties (You will do A LOT working in a small,fast-paced tech company)Ensure Maven's software applications and tools meet the needs of the business.Design develop, test and deploy mobile apps for iOS and Android using technologies such as React Native and Expo.Develop responsive and functional web applications using modern web technologies (TypeScript, React, Astro, Tailwind, CSS, etc.).Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js (NestJS), including caching, job queues, and real-time WebSocket features.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments, work with technologies such as GitHub Actions, AWS ECS Fargate, Docker, CloudWatch, etc.Develop and implement custom algorithms, code and software solutions to process and analyze biomechanical data related to baseball pitching mechanics, batting form and overall athletic performance.Create and maintain a database of player assessments and track progress over time using technologies such as PostreSQL, Redis, S3, etc.Ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs and optimize applications for speed and scalability.Contribute to sprint planning, project timelines and task prioritization.Test and debug apps to ensure smooth functionality across devices and platforms.QualificationsBachelors degree in computer science, engineering, related field or experienceProven experience developing and scaling mobile and web apps to user base of 100,000+Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks (React, NetJS, Astro, etc.)Strong experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, Cognito, CloudFront, etc.)Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to clearly articulate and communicated technical concepts.Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
