Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical ICU Duration: 11 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Epic experience required Must-Have: CRRT experience, high acuity unit experience Description: Please ensure your traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract for this position, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above. Patient diagnoses may include high acuity patients, COVID care, and other critical conditions. Experience with pronation therapy and CRRT is expected. Familiarity with vasopressor titrations and EPIC charting is preferred. Required certifications include ACLS and BLS. Preferred certifications include CPI and NIHSS. No block scheduling requests will be accepted. The patient ratio is 2 to 1 for days and nights. The unit's daily census may reach up to 32 patients. Additional responsibilities may include being flexible with float requirements and participation in rapid response teams. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in the specialty. NURSYS reports must be provided and kept up to date. References may be required before starting the contract.
