PostgreSQL Database DevOps EngineerLocation: Remote (Must be able to work EST)Duration: DIRECT HIRE (must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship)We are seeking a PostgreSQL Database DevOps Engineer with strong experience in database CI/CD, PostgreSQL administration, and deployment automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise supporting highly available PostgreSQL environments and implementing automated database deployment processes in enterprise environments.Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain database CI/CD pipelines for PostgreSQL and SQL Server database environments.Automate database deployments, schema migrations, and release management using tools such as Jenkins, Flyway, Redgate, or similar technologies.Administer and support PostgreSQL databases in production environments.Manage database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity.Configure and maintain PostgreSQL clustering, replication, failover, and high-availability solutions.Support database scalability, performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning initiatives.Analyze and optimize SQL queries to improve application and database performance.Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to implement database best practices and automation.Support cloud-hosted database environments, preferably within Microsoft Azure.Required Qualifications:Strong experience implementing Database CI/CD processes and deployment automation.Hands-on PostgreSQL database administration experience.Experience with Jenkins, Flyway, Redgate, or similar database DevOps tools.Expertise with PostgreSQL backup/recovery, clustering, replication, failover, and scaling.Experience supporting relational database environments, including PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and database services.SQL query optimization and database performance tuning experience.Experience supporting both PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server environments.Experience with database monitoring and observability tools.Nice to Have:Experience running PostgreSQL in Kubernetes or containerized environments.Experience with cloud-native database deployments and Kubernetes operators.Keywords: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Database CI/CD, Jenkins, Flyway, Redgate, Azure, Database Automation, DevOps, SQL Performance Tuning, Replication, Clustering, Failover, High Availability, Kubernetes.
