TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION AND COMPLETE DETAILS, PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AT: https://nafcs.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspxJob DetailsJob ID: 5587101Application Deadline: Posted until filledPosted: Mar 14, 2026Starting Date: ImmediatelyJob DescriptionTITLE: Assistant Coach - Boys SwimmingCLASSIFICATION: Extra-DutyREPORT TO: Athletic DirectorQUALIFICATIONS:Experience coaching/participating in sports at the high school or collegiate level preferredPrior coaching experience is desirableKnowledge of NFHS, IHSSA, and/or other applicable rules and regulationsKnowledge of basic First Aid and Athletic Training practicesMust have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community while fostering a positive atmosphereSuch alternatives to the above as the Administration may find appropriate and acceptableRESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in the coaching of individual student athletes in mechanics and skills necessary for achievement in competitive sports.Assists in the coordinates and supervision of practices.Encourages sportsmanship and team unity and enforces all sportsmanship guidelines.Assists in the enforcement of discipline of contest, school, conference and state rules and regulations.Provides opportunity to enhance their professional development.Assists in the overseeing of safety conditions and accountability issues involving students and facilities located both on NAFCS properties and at off campus facilities.Assists in the maintaining of accurate records of uniforms, equipment, individual/team statistics, and accomplishments.Assists in the submission of required forms and athletic documents; recommends purchase of equipment and supplies.Attends required meetings and clinics for coaches, State and conference selection, and Athletic Boosters.Provides and displays a willingness to work with Athletics Department Administration, staff, student athletes, and parents with a dynamic practice and game schedule.Assists in the development of a total K-12 program, on and off season, through camps, drills, and training.Assists in the coordination and development of effective and sustainable fundraising plan with Athletic Director that is easily communicated with administration, players, coaches, media, and community.Coaches may need to transport athletes in corporation vehicles from time to time, a valid drivers license is required to meet this responsibility.Performs other related duties as assigned by Principal, Athletic Director, and/or other designee.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.Job RequirementsAt least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.High School/Trade School degree preferred.Citizenship, residency or work visa required
