Dozer Operator

Emery Sapp & Sons is hiring an experienced Dozer Operator to join our Kansas City operations. This role will be supporting heavy civil construction projects including mass grading, road building, site development, and earthwork. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision work, job site safety, and teamwork.ResponsibilitiesOperate bulldozers (D6-D8 or similar) for:Rough and finish gradingSite prep and earthmovingRoadway construction and embankmentsRead and interpret grade stakes, cut/fill plans, and project layoutsWork closely with foremen, grade checkers, and other equipment operatorsMaintain proper slopes, grades, and elevations per project specsPerform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenanceFollow all ESS safety policies and OSHA standardsKeep work areas clean, safe, and productiveAssist with other equipment or labor tasks as neededQualifications2+ years of experience operating dozers in heavy civil constructionStrong understanding of grade, slope, and elevation controlExperience working around GPS or grade control systems (preferred)Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsReliable transportation to Kansas City job sitesStrong safety mindset and attention to detailExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plusPreferred ExperienceHeavy highway, roadwork, or mass excavation projectsExperience working in team-driven, fast-paced environmentsWillingness to travel as projects requirePhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while operating equipmentAbility to climb on/off equipment multiple times per dayAbility to lift up to 50 lbs as neededEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
