ER RN Job Details Location: Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (New York nursing jobs) Facility: Emergency Department (ED), Level 3 Trauma Center Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract Start Date: November 6, 2025 End Date: December 4, 2025 Duration: 4 weeks Shift: 12-hour evenings (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200–$2360 Weekend/Holiday: Required Orientation: 20 hours (short contract) EMR System: EPIC (recent experience required) Dress Code: Navy blue or white scrubs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (ER) Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) or ENPC, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required) Ability to manage higher nurse-to-patient ratios (1:5 or higher) Prior travel nursing experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred Reliable personal or rental transportation (no public transit) Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires (November–April) ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive emergency care to neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Manage caseload in a 29-bed ED, including behavioral health and fast track beds Initiate and manage IVs, perform EKGs, and provide respiratory treatments Administer medications via Pyxis and document care in EPIC Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including advanced practice providers and crisis clinicians Care for diverse patient populations, including psychiatric and COVID patients Follow hospital protocols, including zero tolerance for cell phone or earbud use during shifts Maintain professional appearance and adhere to infection control policies Apply now to join our healthcare team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Plattsburgh, NY, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
