Surgical Technologist Certified - Labor & Delivery - Days - Per Diem

Hourly Pay Range:$26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:Location: Elmhurst, ILPer diem - as neededHours: Days, 7am - 7:30pm rotating weekends and rotating holidays What you will do:Acts as a surgical scrub person by performing any combination of tasks before, during and after surgery to assist the surgical team.Hands instruments and supplies to surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and performs other tasks as directed by surgeon during the operation.Observes immediate use sterilization guidelinesWipes down equipment using germicides. Cleans operating room. Assists with turnover What you will need:Must be a graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician program or equivalentCurrent BLS Certification issued by American Heart AssociationNational certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists is required. If applicant does not possess certification at time of hire, must obtain it within 18 months of hire date.
