NURSING SUPERVISOR - FULL TIME (PMs) NO WEEKENDS (SIGN ON BONUS)

Come be a part of our winning team of professionals and make a difference. The Nursing Supervisor provides administrative and clinical supervision to all staff throughout the hospital on weekends. The Nursing Supervisor is a liaison to department directors and administration to insure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments. This position promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital. This supervisor must demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to manage units providing care to a varied population including children and adolescents with mental health issues. Qualifications Education: Graduate from a professional nursing program with an active Illinois RN License in good standing. Experience: Three-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing. Previous clinical supervisor role in a psychiatric setting preferred. Knowledge/Skills: Possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and have CPR training. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is customer focused. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus.
