This role is responsible for building control panels, junction boxes, and wiring machines within the Assembly operation. The technician must be able to work with or without drawings and schematics and may occasionally perform minor mechanical rework to complete assigned tasks.Job Duties (include But Are Not Limited To)Interpret and follow verbal, written, and drawn instructionsAssemble electrical components onto back panels and equipmentWire components according to specifications and standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and functional work areaComplete tasks within established timeframes while meeting quality and safety requirements (including lockout/tagout procedures)Report assembly progress and recommend countermeasures to maintain or recover schedulesIdentify and suggest productivity and quality improvements to supervisors and engineersRequirementsTrade school education with an electrical focus preferredRelevant electrical assembly experienceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructionsStrong electrical aptitude, including proper use of NEC code and wiring techniquesProficiency with hand, electrical, and pneumatic tools, and knowledge of proper tool selectionMust provide own basic tools, including:Box/open-end/socket wrench setsAllen wrench setScrewdriver setTap handlesPliersCombination square9" levelWire strippers and side cuttersTape measureEnglish and metric tools recommendedLockable toolbox recommendedRequired PPE: safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoesRequired attire: long pants and sleeved shirt (short sleeves acceptable)Ability to stand on concrete floors for at least eight hours and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, bending, and liftingAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to diagnose and repair electrical issuesAbility to safely operate a fork truckWorking EnvironmentManufacturing facility environment (approximately 95% indoors / 5% outdoors)Heated facility in winter; not air-conditioned in summerOccasionally loud environment; hearing protection provided and required where postedBenefitsAMF Bakery Systems offers competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and excellent opportunities for career growth within AMF and the global Markel Food Group
