EVM Subject Matter Expert

Job Title: Earned Value Management SME Location: Camden, NJPay: 100-200k We are seeking a working‑level Earned Value Management (EVM) Subject Matter Expert to support the compliant baselining of a mid‑size strategic program that was recently awarded. This individual will play a critical role in executing a program baseline and partnering closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure compliance and execution success.This is a hands‑on role for someone who can step in quickly, operate independently, and deliver results.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute and establish a compliant program cost and schedule baseline within a 60‑day windowApply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles across program planning, tracking, and reportingEnsure adherence to FAR/DFARS requirements for program financial managementDevelop, analyze, and report program performance metricsSupport Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and baseline validation activitiesManage baseline changes and formal change control processesIdentify and mitigate risks associated with program changesCollaborate with cross‑functional teams and program leadershipProvide guidance, training, and mentorship on EVM best practices and toolsRequired (Basic) SkillsEarned Value Management (EVM): Strong working knowledge and hands‑on application of EVM principles and methodologiesFAR/DFARS Compliance: Experience applying federal acquisition regulations to program financial managementBaseline Development: Proven experience developing and managing cost and schedule baselinesEVM Tools: Proficiency with EVM tools, specifically Deltek CobraAnalytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and produce accurate, actionable reportsCommunication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder coordinationOrganizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesPreferred / Advanced SkillsRisk Management: Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks tied to program execution and baseline changesLeadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead initiatives and work effectively across cross‑functional teamsChange Management: Experience managing baseline changes and formal change control processesTraining & Mentorship: Ability to coach team members on EVM best practices and tool usageIntegrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs): Experience conducting or participating in IBRsPerformance Metrics: Developing, tracking, and reporting key program performance indicatorsSchedule & Financial Forecasting: Advanced forecasting skills to support accurate baseline planning and executionCertifications (Highly Desired)PMP (Project Management Professional)EVMP (Earned Value Management Professional)EVP (Earned Value Professional)Work LocationOnsite in Camden, NJ (no remote option)
