Job Description Practice Locations: Northside and Alpharetta - Medical AssistantAssists physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties, such as preparing treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures, recording patient medical history, and maintaining medical equipment.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient examinationsInterview patients to obtain and record medical history, vital statistics, and test resultsAssist physicians and mid-level providers during patient examinations and in-office proceduresPerforms routine urinalysis, draw blood, assist with dressing changes, and administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injectionsTriage patient phoneMaintains medical suppliesClean and sterilize medical equipment and instrumentsProperly disposes of contaminated suppliesFrequent travel between locations is required* The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalentPreferred Education: Associate's DegreePreferred Experience: 1 Years in OB/GYN practice, eClinicalWorks EMRCertifications and Licenses: Professional Medical Assistant Certification (Required), Basis Life Support/CPR certification (Preferred)Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)SKILLS:Effective communicatorAbility to maintain recordsAttention to detailKnowledge in the fields of medicine, anatomy and physiologyAbility to use computersCompany DescriptionAtlanta Women’s Health Group, P.C.
