Axos BankTarget Range:$75,000.00/Yr. - $90,000.00/Yr.Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.About This JobThe Senior Accountant position will support various areas of general ledger accounting, journal entries, monthly close, reconciliations, analysis and reporting, internal control, procedure improvement, system implementation and integration. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for ad-hoc accounting and regulatory/compliance research and draft memos, and other special projects as directed by Accounting Management.Responsibilities:Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, and process documentsPrepare and review journal entries to properly account for general ledger activityAnalyze and document financial statement variances monthly, quarterly, and yearlyPrepare reconciliations for general ledger accounts and roll-forward schedulesAct as super-user for ERP, financial and banking systemsAssist in integration and automation of financial applicationsCollaborate with business units and accounting personnel on forecasting/budget requirementsReview SOX documentation for accounting and provide best practice guidancePrepare financial reporting workbook related to deposit accountsProvide information and documents to internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatorsCoordinate and gather support for complex accounting projects and reporting initiativesTraining and mentoring Junior Staff Accountants and InternsSpecial projects, as requestedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field2+ years' public accounting or 4+ years' industry full cycle experienceAbility to meet a constant stream of deadlinesHighly detailed oriented and organizedAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, sumifs and data manipulationMaintains confidentiality and complies with privacy legislationPreferred:Public accounting experienceCertified Public Accountant LicenseOracle CloudFinancial Institution experienceGAAP and SOXAxos Employee Benefits May Include:* Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance* Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks' Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)* HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits* 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan* Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed TradingAbout AxosBorn digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
