This position combines client-facing accounting work with review, oversight, and mentoring responsibilities. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, experience managing multiple clients, and enjoys both execution and leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesManage accounting engagements for approximately 20–40 clients per month Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements Perform and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Prepare and post adjusting journal entries Reconcile bank accounts, payroll, 401(k), and other balance sheet accounts Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide mentorship and feedback Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and respond to inquiries Assist with audits and financial reporting support Execute and oversee payroll using accounting software Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and client experience QualificationsRequiredActive California CPA license (required) Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business (Master’s Degree preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience in a CPA firm or multi-client environment Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail Ability to pass a background check and drug screening PreferredExperience reviewing or supervising staff accountants Client advisory or consulting experience Leadership mindset and interest in firm growth BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with employer matching Paid Vacation and Sick Time Paid Time Off (PTO) Life Insurance Ongoing professional development and continuing education Work LocationMust be able to commute to Laguna Hills, CA 92653.
