We're excited to provide the best education in the best environment to our students!Academies of Math and Science3rd Grade Teacher 2026-2027Location: 10555 West Buckeye RD, Tolleson, AZ 85353Compensation Range: $48,331.25 - $54,571.89Start Date: 7/20/2026Position OverviewAcademies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K-8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.AMS is seeking a passionate, data-driven 3rd Grade Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction and build strong foundational literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe that all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and consistent data-driven decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Student AchievementDeliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.Classroom Culture & Student SupportEstablish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.Collaboration & Professional GrowthParticipate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to continuously improve teaching practices.Contribute to school-wide systems and continuous improvement initiatives.Family EngagementCommunicate regularly with families regarding student progress.Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.Minimum QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or relevant content area)ORValid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject areaORMinimum of three (3) years of K-12 teaching experienceAdditionally, candidates must:Demonstrate strong classroom management skillsPass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardShow commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communitiesDemonstrate strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindsetExhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environmentCompensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.Competitive salary based on experience401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsMedical, dental, life, and disability insuranceOptional vision coveragePerformance bonusesStipend opportunities for tutoring and extracurricular leadershipOngoing professional development and instructional coaching
