Tasting Room Associate

At Alit Wines and Rose & Arrow Estate, we strive for excellence in winegrowing, winemaking, and wine education. We are looking for a strong candidate to join our team in the tasting room who is personable, communicative, and works well in a team. If you are someone who loves getting to know people, talking about wine, and building long-lasting relationships then this is the position for you. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with with full benefits for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Greets guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Presents wine information and brand messaging with confidence and credibility. Manages daily reservations using our reservation system (Tock) and performs daily tasting room operations Actively sells wine and wine club memberships to meet and exceed sales goals Accurately processes wine orders and customer information via POS system (WineDirect) Ensures opening and closing duties are completed and performed in a timely manner. Assists with private events both on and off-site. Actively contributes to tasting room procedures and brings forth new ideas for sales success. Creates strong relationships with club members as well as winery partners such as local wineries, hotels, and restaurants. Ensures general maintenance and cleaning of the sales floor and customer areas. Minimum Requirements: 21+ years of age. Have or obtain OLCC certification and Food Handlers certification within 30 days Excellent verbal communication skills. High School Diploma or equivalent certificate of completion. Hospitality-driven with a focus on providing guests with exceptional service. Ability to multitask and problem-solve effectively and efficiently. Must be comfortable with entertaining and hosting multiple groups at once. Ability to stand or walk 7+ hours per day. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings. Ability to consistently lift 40 pounds. Organize and maintain a clean and efficient environment. Interact and effectively work with fellow team members and supervisors in a professional manner. Preferred Requirements WSET 2 and or 3, or equivalent (Oregon Wine Expert, Court of Masters). Prior POS experience (WineDirect, Commerce7) Prior experience with Tock and setting up reservations. Experience using Google Drive as well as Microsoft Office. Personal laptop that can be used in the tasting room.
