Role Description The Staff Attorney will provide legal assistance and representation to underserved families in matters related to heirs' property. This is a full-time, on-site position located in North Charleston, SC. Key responsibilities include offering legal counsel, preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, negotiating resolutions, and representing clients in relevant proceedings. The Staff Attorney will work closely with clients to achieve solutions that protect property rights and promote generational wealth. Qualifications Knowledge of Law, with a specific emphasis on Labor and Employment LawProven ability to provide Legal Advice and draft legal documentsStrong skills in Research and the ability to analyze complex legal mattersExperience in Negotiation and dispute resolutionExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectivelyJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in South CarolinaExperience working with underserved communities or nonprofit organizations is a plus
