You'll be part of a collaborative and inclusive team that values your ideas and contributions.Summary:The Test Engineer provides support for test processes on the production floor and product startups.Responsibilities:Coordinates the installation of production test equipmentPerforms test equipment qualifications and characterizationCoordinates the installation of hardware and software updates as requiredProposes ideas for custom tooling for overall test process and equipment improvementParticipates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activitiesAssists in reviewing engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for testabilityAssists in developing product specific test programsWorks with cross functional teams to address corrective actionsAssists maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration proceduresAnalyzes line return information to understand and drive corrective action on test process issuesComplies and follows all company policies and proceduresPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedOther information:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective interpersonal skillsEffective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as requiredEffective organization and prioritization skillsDemonstrate high attention to detailAbility to work with diverse groupsDemonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism.Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.Strong customer service and client focusWorking knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software4 year degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering, Computer Science or related fieldEquivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive managementUnderstanding of electrical design principlesAbility to work individually or in teamsAbility to support a 24/7 global business operation as requiredAbility to lift 75 lbs. to manage test fixturesUnderstanding of and ability to use metrics and continuous improvement tools (e.g. DPMO, FPY, DPM, Six Sigma, FMEA, etc.)>5 years of electronics manufacturing experienceLean Sigma GreenbeltFamiliarity with advanced technologies and applicationsMaster of advanced technologies and applicationsAble to travel up to 20% including day and overnight as requiredBenchmark considers this a safety-sensitive position.Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computing Engineering, Computer Science or related fieldGeographical Location: New Hampshire:NashuaPhysical Location: Nashua, NHShift: Shift 1Work Schedule: M-F 0800-1700Full TimeIn our innovative environment, you'll work with cutting-edge technology, leading the way in engineering design and delivering world-class manufacturing services for products that make a real difference in the lives of others.
