Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Irvine, CA/ Raritan, NJ. Candidates must have strong capability in developing and automating test methods to support verification and characterization of medical device components.Rate Range: $37/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Engineer job responsibilities include:* Develops and optimizes test methods to support characterization, verification, and automated evaluation of medical device components.* Automates simulated‐use test setups by building scripts, control logic, and hardware automation solutions to increase throughput and reduce manual intervention.* esigns and prototypes 3D‐printed test fixtures to support early‐stage prototype testing, performance studies, and feasibility assessments.* Evaluates manufacturing equipment settings to identify optimal parameters and document configurations that improve component performance and signal quality.* Analyses test data, summarizes engineering findings, and prepares detailed technical documentation for cross‐functional R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams.* Collaborates with manufacturing engineers to ensure experimental insights translate into scalable and repeatable production processes.Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering.* 6-8 years of experience working in test engineering, validation, or product characterization within regulated environments.* Demonstrated capability in developing test methods, creating DVP&R plans, and performing DOE‐based analysis to define design limits and support product verification.* Proven expertise in collaborating with Manufacturing/Process Engineering on DFM/DFA activities and building prototype fixtures to support early‐stage product evaluations.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
