RN, Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Care Unit - Part-Time

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: The Cath Lab Care Unit (CLCU) is responsible for the prep and recovery of all Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and IR Lab patients (both inpatient and outpatient). The department has 12 bays and offers a variety of shift options (8-hour, 9-hour, or 12-hour shifts available). All shifts start at either 6am or 7am. There are no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call with this department. The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Registered Nurse RN, collaborates in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization. What you will do: Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and qualityinitiativesandexhibitsprofessionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program. Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizingevidence basedpractice. Collaborates withpatientand family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical,spiritualand educational components. Accurately communicates pertinent information toappropriate teammembersin a timely manner. Keeps patient/family apprised/updated. Documents accurately and completelypertinentassessments,interventionsand outcomes for patientsin accordance withdocumentation standards, policies,proceduresand/or guidelines. Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers asappropriate. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate from school of nursing. Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. For CasualRNs2 years of experience isrequired. All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience are subject toparticipateand will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
