Kotlin Backend Engineer – Mobile Service LayerImmediate need for a talented Kotlin Backend Engineer – Mobile Service Layer (Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL). This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Hybrid).Pay Range: $62 - $70/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. Key Responsibilities:Design and build production backend services in Kotlin and JavaDevelop scalable REST and GraphQL APIsBuild and evolve the Mobile Service Layer / Backend for Frontend (BFF)Support high-volume, low-latency services used by mobile applicationsModernize legacy services and help introduce Kotlin into newer servicesWrite clean, maintainable, tested codeTroubleshoot production issues and improve reliability and performanceCollaborate with mobile engineers, architects, QA, DevOps, and product teamsParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and CI/CD practicesKey Requirements and Technology Experience:Strong production experience with KotlinStrong backend development experience with JavaExperience with Spring BootExperience building REST APIsExperience with GraphQLExperience with microservicesExperience with CI/CD and automated testingStrong debugging, refactoring, and production support skillsAbility to work in a large-scale, enterprise environmentBackend for Frontend (BFF) architectureMobile API platform experienceKafka or event-driven systemsAWS or cloud-native deployment experienceModern Java features and code modernization workExperience supporting consumer-facing applications at scaleOur client is a leading Healthcare Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
