Travel NICU Registered Nurse in Frisco, TX

Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years NICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide specialized nursing care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting, supporting critically ill newborns with advanced medical equipment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Location: Position based in Frisco, TX, within a prominent hospital known for comprehensive neonatal care. The facility features a 108-bed NICU located on the 4th Floor of the North Tower (Building A). The unit maintains patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 and is staffed with RNs, LVNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Externs, ensuring robust support and teamwork. Responsibilities:* Deliver direct nursing care to neonates using specialized equipment such as nasal cannulas, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS monitors, warmers, and isolettes. * Utilize electronic documentation systems including CPN and Meditech for accurate patient charting and communication. * Adhere to scheduled 3-12 hour shifts per week, including rotation through weekends and holidays. * Participate in floating assignments as needed, covering areas like PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU, with contract staff floating before permanent staff. * Maintain compliance with unit protocols and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.Desired Experience:* Current and valid RN licensure with NICU clinical experience. * Proficiency in advanced neonatal life support techniques and familiarity with NICU equipment. * Experience working within team-based care settings including collaborations with support staff and nurse externs. * Comfort and adaptability with rotating schedules and floating assignments.Benefits & Perks:* Opportunity to travel and experience working in specialized neonatal care settings. * Exposure to high-acuity patients in a well-equipped medical environment. * Supportive multidisciplinary team and resources to facilitate quality care delivery.Frisco, TX, offers a vibrant community with access to quality healthcare, family-friendly amenities, and a favorable climate.
